We want to put Margaret in a pastel coloured formal suit. These are the results when I looked for mother of the bride suit. The formal style of her clothes is hopefully going to add to the mystery and confusion. A fascinator or hat would add to this look, it makes it more dressed up.
The clothing choice for Margaret is to add another level of confusion to the idea. For example, initially maybe you wouldn't notice or question why she is wearing that but when other things become more obviously tampered with for no apparent reason, it will add to the mystery and strangeness.
